OmniSky skips out on Q3 report

Wireless Internet service company OmniSky cannot issue any new shares of its stock because it did not file a third-quarter financial report. OmniSky was supposed to file its report last week but reportedly asked securities officials for more time.

CEO Patrick McVeigh said in a statement that the company’s outlook has been adversely affected by the continued deterioration in the capital markets since Sept. 11. The company currently is evaluating the potential benefits of a sale, reorganization or other form of restructuring under the federal bankruptcy code.
