Occam lands Fidelity CLEC deal

Occam Networks said Fidelity Communications, which operates as both an incumbent and a CLEC in Missouri has selected the BLC 6000 System to deliver voice, high-speed data and transparent LAN service to banks and other businesses in its CLEC territory. Fidelity, which has 16,000 ILEC customers and 7100 CLEC customers, already has deployed the BLC System in its ILEC area. Currently, Fidelity has Occam BLCs installed and delivering services to CLEC customers from COs in Bourbon, Cuba and St. James and St. Robert, Mo. The carrier also is exploring using the systems to offload DSL services from its digital loop carrier and is currently conducting a trial using the BLC 6000 to deliver IP video over DSL.
