NightFire secures funding

Provisioning automation vendor NightFire has secured $11.7 million in its fourth round of funding, bringing total funding to $47.9 million.

The money will be used to extend products into more telecom market segments and regions, said NightFire President and CEO Jerry Rudisin in a statement. U.S. Venture Partners led the latest round along with Sequoia Capital, New Enterprise Associates and the Roda Group.

NightFire’s sales grew nearly 150% in 2001 compared to the previous year. The company has had nine consecutive quarters of revenue growth.
