Midwest Wireless closes Cellcom deal
Midwest Wireless has completed its $40 million acquisition of wireless properties in Iowa from Cellcom-branded partnerships. The deal gives Midwest Wireless 28,000 new subscribers and coverage over a total population of 320,390.

The carrier will invest about $3.9 million in its network infrastructure in these areas by the end of this year to upgrade it from CDMA to CDMA 1X, which Midwest Wireless already offers in other markets in its operating region.
