MFN gets third CEO in two months

After less than two months on the job, Metromedia Fiber Network CEO Nick Tanzi is resigning from the company effective Nov. 30, citing “personal reasons.” Replacing Tanzi will be current President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Spagnolo.

Tanzi replaced MFN founder Steven Garofolo as CEO in October upon the closing of a protracted $611 million funding round. At the same time, the company announced Spagnolo as president and chief operating officer, his first executive position with the company.

Previously Spagnolo served as chairman and CEO of MFN acquisition SiteSmith, a firm specializing in outsourced Web-site operations.
