Lucent lights up Costa Rica
Costa Rica's only telecom carrier, Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (nicknamed "ICE"), will deploy Lucent's next-generation optical gear, according to the vendor. ICE will use Lucent's Metropolis multiservice mux, the LambdaUnite switch and the WaveStar add/drop mux to enhance its SDH/WDM transport network to handle both wireline and wireless traffic.
