Lucent enters IP video-over-DSL space
Lucent Technologies is leveraging its Stinger DSL platform to deliver IP-formatted video, voice and data bundled services and has lined up Canadian service provider SaskTel as its first customer.

Lucent’s technology includes a 4 Gb/s controller that integrates IP and ATM processing to enable low-cost, high-bandwidth video delivery. It also adds a standards-based VDSL line card for bandwidth-consumptive premium services such as high-definition TV.
