Lucent cancels switching product
Lucent Technologies has canceled its MSC 25000 switch as part of its restructuring, according to media reports.

First announced in June, the multi-service switch was intended to greatly increase capacity over current generations switches, but Lucent officials told CNET Thursday that it intends to scrap the product and instead focus on bringing IP and MPLS products to market.
