Looking Glass acquires Lightwave Communications

Metropolitan service provider Looking Glass Networks said it has purchased the assets and customer contracts of Lightwave Communications, a metro service provider in the Northeast. The deal gives Looking Glass the added markets of Baltimore and Philadelphia, and expands its existing footprint in New York, Newark, N.J., Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Lightwave’s DS-1 and DS-3 service offerings are expected to add to Looking Glass’ lit fiber, dark fiber and collocation services. Through the acquisition, Looking Glass expects to see a $10 million boost in annualized revenue.
