KPNQwest, Axerra team up

International carrier KPNQwest and multiservice IP edge product vendor Axerra Networks have teamed up in a strategic alliance that calls for KPNQwest to test Axerra’s AXN Multiservice IP Concentrator in a pilot project over the next two months. KPNQwest, like several other carriers, is looking to migrate its legacy leased line services to IP networking, said Steve Byars, senior director of marketing at Axerra. The AXN also will support the creation of new IP services, such as IP VPNs and voice over IP, for the carrier.
