The company achieved certification of the TL 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 9001and TickiT/ISO 9000-3 standards.
"It is a huge process to go through only one audit, but four is incredible," said Dennis Omanoff, vice president of operations for Jetstream. "This is the first time anyone has gone through four at the same time. And we are the only pre-IPO company with the TL 9000 certification," he added.
The TL 9000 pertains to quality system requirements and to achieve it vendors must meet industry-specific requirements such as customer quality metrics for tracking performance. The certification covers hardware, software and services.
The ISO 14001 is a voluntary standard that involves environmental factors such as whether or not the manufacturing process is environmentally clean and if the company recycles products during manufacturing. ISO 9001 is a quality specification for design, development, production and servicing, whereas TickiT/ISO 9000-3 involves the development of software for use in products and services.
"This is really a win-win for both us and our customers," Omanoff said.
