CICS launches Web site
The Council of Independent Communication Suppliers has launched a new home page. The home page includes information for use by two-way radio dealers and other service members that are members of CICS. The site features private land mobile radio news headlines, event bulletins, a membership services guide and a fee schedule. It also has information on CICS’s services such as interference protection, license subscription, FCC research and the CICS Exchange interactive email list server.

ICOM Web page supports receivers
ICOM America and PerCon have announced a new Web site in which users can download U.S. custom frequency database information for their ICOM receiver’s memory channels. The IC-PCR100, IC-PCR1000, IC-R2, IC-R10, IC-R8500 and the IC-R75 are supported on this site. Users can also clone the downloaded data to an ICOM receiver if they are traveling. The online databases offer a large number of frequencies sorted by different parameters, including geographic location, frequency range and type of radio service.
