IDT creates call center business unit

IDT has launched a new call-center business, called IDT Contact Services, to handle call center services for IDT and its customers. The company announced the acquisition of two small teleservices companies, Marketing Ally, based in Provo, Utah, and Contact America, in La Jolla, Calif. The two companies’ facilities, combined with IDT’s call center operations in Israel and Puerto Rico, will form the backbone of the new operations, IDT officials said, providing basic customer service as well as order processing, telemarketing and market/political surveying for the company’s base of international telecom clients.
