Global Crossing, Telstar ink deal

Long-distance carrier Telstar International has agreed to pay Global Crossing’s carrier-services division to route and terminate Telstar traffic via Global Crossing’s domestic and international telecom network.

The two-and-a-half year deal is worth at least $15 million and may bring up to $30 million based on Telstar’s current traffic patterns, according to a Global Crossing press release.

The deal is part of Telstar’s ongoing initiative to increase gross margins on international traffic via Global Crossing’s network.
