General Bandwidth wins FTTP bid
Dalton Utilities, a utility provider in Dalton, Ga., has selected General Bandwidth to provide its G6 platform in a fiber-to-the-premises deployment. The utility, which has been offering some telecom services since 1999, will expand a service called OptiLink to including voice, video and high-speed data over an all-fiber network this month. The G6 will provide the switching for the voice portion of the network.
