Ericsson strikes additional IP backbone and router deals in China

Ericsson has signed Internet Protocol backbone and router supply agreements with China Mobile, with which it has existing agreements in place for several provinces, and China Netcom. The company did not release the value of the agreements.

Ericsson will provide AXI-series router and IP network facilities, which can support data, voice and multimedia transmissions, to the Shandong, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region offices of China Mobile.

The company also will provide China Netcom with citywide router equipment in the provinces of Wuhan, Changsha, Zhuhui, Zhongshan, Shunde, Dongguan and Foshan.
