Boingo will sell Internet access provided by about 750 smaller wireless Internet providers throughout the country. Each uses Wi-Fi technology, which consists of antennas that beam high-speed Internet access to computers up to 300 feet away.

Boingo subscribers are expected to pay up to $75 per month for unlimited access to any of these networks, and Boingo would pay the providers a share of that revenue.

Customers will have to buy a Wi-Fi card, which could run from $80 to $150. In addition, there will be a monthly fee that reportedly is roughly twice the price of a dial-up connection.
