DSET moves into the IP provisioning space

DSET has taken a different market focus and is discontinuing production of interconnection gateways to enter into the IP provisioning marketplace. As part of the DSET’s restructuring plans, the company laid off 60 people.

DSET will continue to provide technical support, software upgrade and business-rule change management services for its 30 competitive service provider customers currently using its electronic-bonding gateway software in production.

Fifteen engineers from the company’s remaining staff will provide support services for gateway software customers. The remaining 34 employees will work toward the company’s initiative to enter the IP provisioning space, which was spurred by the company’s merger with ISPsoft, announced three months ago. DSET currently has a value-added reseller agreement with ISPsoft.
