DirecTV Broadband, WorldCom expand relationship
DirecTV Broadband, the DSL arm of direct broadcast satellite provider DirecTV, has extended its relationship with WorldCom to cover the western and midwestern U.S., providing DirecTV DSL service via WorldCom’s networks.

WorldCom is a leading commercial DSL provider with services in more than 55 metropolitan networks nationwide. The agreement will give DirecTV Broadband access to residential customers by leveraging WorldCom’s facilities-based DSL footprint, the two providers said.
