Videsti is developing a range of authoring tools to create interactive content for digital platforms and innovative set-top boxes for the transmission of digital TV using wireless technology. The company is also putting the finishing touches to a Newsroom product that enables newscasters to compile complete news bulletins, including video clips, live inserts and captions.
The company can already boast an impressive customer list with clients in Europe, Asia and the US. Client convergence projects include an online security and privacy solution with a leading Internet Payment company, a secure online betting solution and a digital media system that allows customers to create their own customized music CDs online.
Videsti also aims to establish an advanced media center to explore new genres of interactive multimedia presentation, surround sound and immersion technologies.
Liam O’Kelly, Videsti’s chief executiveofficer, said, “This is a very exciting time for companies involved with the internet and broadcasting. The merger of the two technologies will give us a New Media that will encompass the choice and freedom of the Internet and the entertainment and content of television. Videsti will provide companies with the hardware, software and skills they need to digitally transmit these programmes. We will also be helping Internet and broadcast companies to develop and create content for both the Internet and New Media.”
O’Kelly adds, “Videsti is in the unique position of having extensive experience in the hardware and software involved with both TV and the Internet and I firmly believe that this will give us the edge over the competition.”
