Cisco’s Huawei lawsuit resolved

Cisco Systems’ intellectual property lawsuit against Asian rival Huawei Technologies is resolved, Cisco confirmed today. After a third-party review of Huawei’s products, Huawei agreed to change its command line interface, user manuals, help screens and portions of its source code to address Cisco's concerns. Huawei also discontinued the sale of products at issue in the suit and agreed to only sell the new, modified versions of those products worldwide. Cisco filed the suit in January 2003 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
