Cingular Wireless launches GPRS in Seattle
Cingular Wireless has pegged Seattle as the beginning of its nationwide launch of general packet radio service and one stage in its transition to more advanced wireless data services.

Cingular’s follows AT&T Wireless’ introduction of GPRS in Seattle last month.
The new service, called Cingular Wireless Internet Express, is expected to give the carrier’s customers wireless access to the Internet with speeds up to 10 times faster than currently available.
