Cedar Point lands $20 million
Cable telephony vendor Cedar Point Communications, which also is expecting a visit from FCC Chairman Michael Powell this week, said it has secured $20 million in additional funding from JP Morgan Partners and from existing investors. The new funding, which includes Ascent Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Charles River Ventures, Comcast Interactive Capital and STAR Ventures, will used to further commercialize Cedar Point’s Safari C3 switching system.
