CableLabs completes DOCSIS 2.0 specs
CableLabs has finished DOCSIS 2.0 specifications for the next generation of cable modems and is finalizing plans for interoperability testing in this year’s first quarter.

DOCSIS 2.0 increases throughput in the upstream portion of the cable plant to create a symmetrical 30 Mb/s data stream. The first DOCSIS 2.0 products could be as certified by the end of this year.
