Brix also talks NEBS

Brix Networks, the Chelmsford, Mass.-based provider of real-time service assurance and performance management solutions said this week it has achieved Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Level 3 certification status for its Brix 1000 and Brix 2500 Verifiers. The Brix 1000 and 2500 Verifiers underwent a series of extensive tests—including electro-magnetic emissions, power consumption, Zone-4 earthquake simulation, thermal and mechanical shock, airborne contaminants, and hygroscopic—conducted by representatives of Curtis-Straus LLC, a Littleton, Mass.-based Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory and worldwide regulatory compliance-testing firm. The equipment passed GR-63-CORE, covering Physical Protection, and GR-1089-CORE, involving electromagnetic compatibility and electrical safety.  The Brix boxes also fulfilled a third NEBS requirement, GR-78-CORE, relating to manufacturing and product design guidelines.
