When that changeover happens, C. Michael Armstrong, AT&T’s current chairman, will become chairman of AT&T Comcast.

Immediately, Bernard will head up AT&T Business, and she will take responsibility for AT&T’s network services group, international opportunities and AT&T Labs.

For the past 17 months, Bernard had served as the president and CEO of AT&T’s Consumer long distance unit. As part of the shuffle, Dorman named John Polumbo, currently senior vice president of AT&T Business, to takeover Bernard’s former position. Both Bernard and Polumbo will report to Dorman.
