Bascom Mutual picks Optical Solutions
Optical Solutions said Bascom (Ohio) Mutual Telephone Company is deploying its new FiberPath 500 system as part of an edge out CLEC build in the area surrounding Fostoria and Tiffin, Ohio. Part of the motivation for the decision to roll out broadband into areas adjacent to its service territory was a decision by Public Utilities Commission of Ohio that allows Independent telcos to expand their territory via overbuilding without forming a separate CLEC subsidiary.
