AFC inks Dominican deal
Advanced Fibre Communications said Tricom, the Dominican Republic's largest alternative carrier, is using the vendor's Telliant edge switch. Tricom has experienced a recent growth spurt that has pushed the company to grow its DSL services significantly. The company is looking to migrate additional data onto the Telliant units, as well as move IP capabilities in the central office—closer to its subscribers.
