ADC reiterates guidance

Broadband equipment vendor ADC today reiterated its guidance for its fiscal fourth quarter 2002, which closes on Oct. 31.

As it said after its third-quarter earnings release, the company expects to report revenues of about $200 million and a pro forma loss of between seven and nine cents a share.

According to an ADC spokesman, the company took the unusual step because its financial calendar does not match the reporting schedule of most other companies.

“We’re an off cycle company, so we though it was important that people understood where we were at in the quarter,” said the spokesman. “A lot of people will be filing in next couple of weeks & at this point in our quarter we feel like we can [update guidance.” --Toby Weber, staff writer
