ADC brings its lifecycle management suite to North America

“It sits outside the OSS and feeds reference, or definition, data into all the systems needed to build a service,” said Skip Hughes, software consultant for ADC.
The LMS can feed both ADC and non-ADC support systems. It is an open access, definition management engine that uses a “build once, deploy many” model for centralizing product information. The centralized information can be used by third-party content providers or by an operator’s own marketing team to develop services to deploy or examine their feasibility.
“Marketing can use business templates to build a service themselves and take it to the product department to see what it would take to bring the product to market,” Hughes said.
Open access workbenches and wizards can be used to create the templates, which can be reused and automated for multiple product types that share similar business rules. The solution is intended to provide end-to-end management of the entire product lifecycle.
It comes with a configuration toolkit that Hughes said makes it more than a product catalog by providing version control and rollout control for Singl.eView customers. “It provides a layer between the marketing and product groups,” Hughes said.
