Acme Packet puts SBC to test
CT Labs and Acme Packet said Acme Packet’s Net-Net PAC session border controller has been proven capable of handing 450 call set-ups per second with media using SIP, or the equivalent of 1.62 million busy hour call attempts during tests at CT Labs’ facilities. Additionally, the tests results included 200 calls per second with media for typical 7 message SIP call flow including continuous call set-up and tear-down with complete NAPT at layers 3 and 5 and the ability to support 50,000 active concurrent calls using a G.729 codec.
