Wireless LAN card

The WavePort-WL11 wireless LAN card uses RF to transmit data from one point to another up to 250 meters. It incorporates a chipping code to recover data packets in case of data corruption and uses a 40-bit length RC4 private encryption key called the Wired Equivalency Protocol. It uses 2.4 GHz ISM frequency bands and supports 1, 2, 5.5 and 11 Mb/s transmission rates. It has a built-in antenna and consumes as low as 20 mA of current when in standby mode. It costs $235.
