PRIVACY RULES

The Competition Policy Institute asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review a 10th Circuit Court of Appeals decision that struck down FCC rules protecting the privacy of customer information collected by telephone companies. U S West appealed, saying the rules infringed on its free-speech rights.
