Digital network interface units The 5760xx PMDNIs feature remote provisioning, ESF/SF Frame conversion, enhanced remote maintenance functions and performance monitoring capabilities. The PMDNI can replace existing digital network interface units ubiquitously in the field because it is the only PMDNI that can meet the 15 V simplex drop requirement for older DNIs. It also provides traditional options like line buildout and thru-current for those "grandfathered" circuits that still require line-powering of the CPE.

Clock and data recovery device The S3050 integrated clock and data recovery device supports clock recovery for OC-3, OC-12, Gigabit Ethernet and OC-48 NRZ data and uses an on-chip PLL consisting of a phase detector, loop filter, and voltage controlled oscillator. It meets performance requirements for converging datacom and telecom markets and complies with ANSI, Bellcore and ITU-T specifications for jitter tolerance, jitter transfer and jitter generation. The S3050's multirate capabilities are targeted for use in DWDM applications.

Vertical bypass/isolation switches The RTB and RTBD combination automatic transfer-bypass/isolation switches are available in single- and two-source configurations for loads up to 4000 A. The standard bypass/isolation solution provides break-before-make bypass operation. This design allows the operator to bypass directly to either the normal or emergency source regardless of the position or condition of the transfer switch. In both designs, once the automatic transfer switch has been bypassed and isolated, it can be rolled out of its enclosure on rollers or casters for inspection and maintenance. Russelectric Inc.

SMR interference solution Designed to address SMR interference in the AMPS band receive channel, the CCRF-33 (A Band model) provides greater than 60 dB of attenuation from 851 MHz to 1.0 GHz. Insertion loss in minimized to less than 1.0 dB over 824 to 846.5 MHz. The CCRF-34 (B Band model) offers 35 dB rejection over 851 MHz to 1.0 GHz and 1.5 dB maximum insertion loss over 824 to 849 MHz. These off-the-shelf solutions are available in package sizes of 10 x 4.5 x 3.5 inches with N female connectors.

Video crosspoint switches The AD8114 and AD8115 16 x 16 video crosspoint switches have 256 switch points, 16 output amplifiers and control logic in a small LQFP package. The 8114 (gain of +1) and 8115 (gain of +2) include 16 independent input buffers and output buffers that can be placed into a high-impedance state for paralleling crosspoint outputs so that off channels do not load the output bus. They operated at plus/minus5 V while consuming 70 mA of idle current. Channel switching is performed via a serial digital control. The switches cost $59.99 in 1000-piece quantities. Analog Devices

Spectrum analyzer The V9054 is a fully programmable spectrum analyzer that is ideal for use in VXI cellular production test systems. The 0.5 PPM frequency accuracy is accomplished by means of digital tuning, which locks the synthesizer to the reference oscillator at each point in a sweep. The 1.6 GHz analyzer has an amplitude range of -120 dBm to +20 dBm with an absolute level accuracy of plus/minus0.5 dB. The unit also offers an overlay drawing capability so that the user can set limits for FCC or any of the cellular protocol spectral standards such as CDMA, TDMA or GSM. Morrow Technologies
