Subscriber loop analyzer The T-Berd 109XC incorporates all-in-one, icon-driven, voice and data testing in a mobile computing platform. Its features include a DVOM, TIMS, open meter, noise meter, TDR, POTS handset and ISDN handset with BERT. All user interaction is completed through a graphical user interface that is consistent between POTS and ISDN testing applications, enabling users to learn to test digital services more quickly. The closeout test feature allows carriers to design an automated acceptance test to be used when closing trouble tickets or qualifying new service orders for POTS and ISDN. T-1/E-1 and Ethernet for VoIP gateways The TAP-804N network interface controller and the TAP-804D dual span are built specifically for advanced CTI applications using the TAP-800 family architecture. The TAP-804N integrates a 100BaseT network interface controller with a TAP-804 DSP resource board containing enough MIPS to provide voice compression for a full T-1 trunk. Integrating a 100 Mb/s LAN interface into the architecture allows compressed voice-over-IP traffic to flow directly to the Ethernet. The TAP-804N consists of dual T-1/E-1 spans with enough DSP to support voice-over-IP compression on a full T-1 trunk. Analogic Corp.

Electronic loads The L-2500 series electronic loads consists of three loads, all rated at 2500 W and 500 amps. The units evaluate, test and burn-in AC/DC switch mode, linear and ferroresonant power supplies with output voltages ranging from 1.25 to 80 VDC. They also have an application for burn-in and testing of DC-DC converters and batteries. All units may be ordered with either a 115 VAC or 230 VAC input. Models L-2501 and L-2511 are designed primarily for single output power supplies. The L-2501 is a constant current device, and the L-2511 has both constant current and constant resistance modes. High-speed data transfer The IEEE-1394 standard, known as the FireWire Bus, is an interface for high-speed data transfer between VXI instruments and personal computers. Its transmitters and receivers, available as a standard chip set, handle addressing, initialization, arbitration and protocol. High speed is achieved, in part, by small signals that are transmitted over twisted-pair wire with controlled impedance characteristics.
