Microsoft will unveil its new wireless platform to link Windows 2000 to a variety of mobile devices that have access to the Web. Microsoft's early attempts to break into the mobile devices market focused on Windows CE, a compact version of Windows OS, which didn't get as much attention as Palm's hand-held devices.
