This family of light emitting diodes has "duck feet" electrical contacts to make them surface mountable. They can be directly incorporated onto a surface board without having to deal with the short body profile and wide angle of light emission typical of traditional surface-mount LEDs. They are available in lens styles from T-1 to T-2.5. They incorporate A1InGaP and InGaN chip technologies. Lumex www.lumex.com
