Leaping into California territory
Leap Wireless International will purchase a PCS operating license in Visalia, Calif., for an undisclosed amount. The license, which could give the carrier more than 470,000 additional customers, will allow Leap to extend the reach of its Cricket service, which lets customers make and receive virtually unlimited phone calls in their local service area.
