IBM unwraps new chip-making technology

IBM launched production of new microchips using a technology called CMOS 9S, which unites IBM innovations in copper wiring, silicon-on-insulator transistors and "low-k dielectric" insulation to build chip circuits nearly 800 times thinner than a human hair.
