Home networking chipset market to soar

The home networking chipset market will grow from $116 million in 2000 to $669 million by 2004, according to a Cahners In-Stat Group report. The company believes that over time, wireless networking connections will occupy the greatest percentage of connections, with the RF portion of the home networking integrated circuit market increasing from 10% of total units shipped at the end of 2000 to 37% by 2004.
