Hand-held communicator
This portable global satellite communicator offers worldwide two-way e-mail messaging via the ORDCOMM low-earth-orbit satellite network. With the GSC 100, users send and receive e-mail messages to and from any Internet e-mail address or other ORBCOMM communicator product in the world. The GSC 100 stores up to 100 text messages and 150 address book entries. The 37 oz. transceiver is powered by a 9.6 VDC rechargeable NiCd battery pack and can operate on a 10 to 35 VDC external power source. The communicator cost $999. Magellan Corp.
