GLOBESPAN BUYS PAIRGAIN UNIT
GlobeSpan, a developer of DSL chipsets, will purchase the microelectronics group of PairGain, which is divesting the group to focus on system-level multiservice access platforms. GlobeSpan gains intellectual property assets and DSL engineers and will become a supplier of DSL chipsets to PairGain.
