Frequency translation module

The CTM5100 frequency translation module translates external references into the digital frequency protocol. It accommodates two reference sources via programmable inputs, both typically at 8 kHz. The synthesized output frequency comes in selected frequencies up to 38.88 MHz and operates on 5.0 V. Alarm outputs provide notification of loss of signal and loss of lock. A programmable holdover mode will maintain the previously locked reference to 370 ppb overall stability until the module can be relocked, and forced free-run mode references the output to the internal reference oscillator's nominal frequency. It also has edge triggered inputs. Prices start at $380 each in 1000 units. Champion Technologies www.champtech.com
