Free-space group to meet; InSight in Kentucky; ADC advances unified messaging
The Free-Space Optical FSO Alliance will hold its first meeting June 26 at the Wireless Communications Association gathering in Boston. FSO was formed in February to unify vendors and service providers' efforts in addressing multiple issues facing the technology.

Insight Communications, the nation's eighth largest MSO, will use RiverDelta Networks' broadband services routers to deliver tiered service offerings with guaranteed quality of service to residential and business customers in its Lexington, Ky., service area.
ADC, continuing the rollout of products from its broadband services platform, launched a unified messaging platform that allows subscribers to access voice, fax and e-mail messages over the Web using any e-mail client or the touch-tone buttons on a telephone.
