Focal meets Global One; Global Crossing uses Lucent gear
Focal Communications last week announced a partnership with Global One, a member of the France Telecom Group. Under the agreement, Global One will offer services to U.S. customers by linking to Focal's network. In addition, the companies agreed to market and sell Global One's frame relay and ATM data solutions.

Lucent Technologies last week unveiled that Global Crossing will be the first to deploy its all-optical WaveStar LambdaRouter switch. Global Crossing will use the switches in its trans-Atlantic network starting this month.
