FCC seeks comments on 3G spectrum
In accordance with a White House directive to clear spectrum for broadband mobile wireless carriers, the FCC adopted a notice of public rulemaking to consider the 1755 to 1850 MHz band used by the DOD and the 2500 to 2690 MHz band used by fixed wireless operators. Under the White House order, spectrum for 3G wireless services is supposed to be identified by July.
