ELECTRIC DREAMS
Power-One’s FNP300 Series of 300 W AC/DC front-end power supplies feature a compact footprint, built-in microcontroller, and wide-range input operation (85 to 264 VAC) with the capability to ride through short pulses up to 300 VAC. The models offer 12, 24 or 48 VDC outputs rated at 25, 12.5 and 6.25 amps, respectively. All models also provide a 12V at 0.7 amps standby output for powering serial communication interfaces and small fans. Standard features include Power factor correction, hot-swap capability, and N+1 redundancy with ORing-diode current sharing.

Valere Power’s Mini DC Power System is the first high-power and modular AC/DC power system to fit in a one-rack-unit-high package. The Mini DC Power System is designed for applications where power concentration is high and space is constrained. It delivers from 10 to 160 amps of current, and cuts by half the rack space needed for this power level. The system is based on Valere’s new H-Series Rectifier, which uses Valere’s patented 93% efficient power conversion technology that dissipates 35% less heat than conventional technology.
VDC Electronics’ BatterMinder series of solar-charging systems ensure batteries will not be overcharged. The model SCC015 automatically desulphates all lead-acid based 12 V batteries. The systems include a high-efficiency 15 W rated amorphous silicon solar panel, a temperature compensated controller-charger-desulphator, a connect-disconnect battery harness and a battery condition indicator. The SCC015 will maintain up to six parallel-connected batteries.
BK Precision’s Model 601 and 602 Battery Capacity Analyzers can quickly and accurately identify the percent capacity of 6 V and12 V lead acid batteries that may be defective or deteriorated. The analyzers provide a complete batter analysis in as little as six seconds. The units require no external power because they are powered by the battery under test.
