Connecticut Tel makes a buy; BTI Telecom finishes network
Connecticut Telephone purchased the Connecticut network assets of Digital Broadband Communications. The acquisition will expand Connecticut Telephone's offering to include DSL, frame relay and ATM services on its own network. The company plans to bundle DSL services with current offerings.

BTI Telecom has finished its 506-mile long-haul data, Internet and voice network from Raleigh, N.C., to Savannah, Ga. BTI's 4300-mile fiber network now extends from New York to Miami and from Miami to Nashville.
