The Tauzin-Dingell bill was the focus of debate last week as several advocacy groups held a press conference to show their support for the bill. On the opposite side, a study by James Glassman, a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and William Lehr, consultant for the MIT Internet Telephony Consortium, claimed passage of the bill would reduce gross U.S. economic output by $57 billion to $88 billion by 2006.
