CableLabs names top tech
David P. Reed has been promoted to chief technology officer of CableLabs, the cable industry's R&D consortium. Reed held a number of positions with CableLabs during his six-year tenure, including work with the PacketCable multimedia architecture initiative, strategic assessment effort and Go2Broadband B2B e-commerce project and home networking effort.
